Personality Tests Personality Test - 1011 Words

Before dipping a bit deeper into my own personality test named the big five personality test, I like to understand more about the concept of these evaluations. Personality tests are used in various ways and for several reasons. The spectrum of participate range from fun and humor to evaluations for professional and behavior perspectives. Many of these personality tests out there have an entertainment purpose only and have little scientifically value. So to understand the purpose of a personality test is a tool that is used to describe the personality of a person at any given moment or day Therefore when discussing ourselves or even others we refer to that persons personality characteristics. In the field of psychology a person(s) his or her personality can be assessed with help of a personality test. To consider my own field of career with clients with a diagnosed mental illness these personality tests can be used to evaluate changes in personality as well to evaluate the success of a therapy. It is fair to state that each of these evaluations have its strengths, weaknesses as well their limited reliability and validation as well its dual purpose. A personality test on recreational and drinking behavior can be used in a professional and work attendance assessment. So now that I have a broader understanding of the reasons and possible benefits of these personality tests, I am going to take a closer look at my own evaluation, named â€Å"the big five personality test.
